Chelsea will face Blackburn in their next match as the Barclays Premier League moves into its tenth week. Chelsea goes into this match after their dramatic 2-1 loss to Aston Villa last week. Blackburn on the other hand will be going into this match after their 3-2 win against Burnley last week. Chelsea has been in phenomenal form this season. Their loss last week though was a poor display of football combined with some bad luck. Chelsea has lost only two of their total nine matches this season, winning the rest. In the last match against Aston fans also saw them go up in the 15th minute as their star striker Drogba scored off a fantastic shot, scoring for the 7th time in this campaign. His efforts though were later ruined as Chelsea’s defenders failed to take advantage of the lead and could not prevent Aston from levelling and then taking the lead to register a win in the end. Lampard though showed some respite and played well and should carry over that effort to this weekend.
Blackburn played really well in the last match. After being down only in the 4th minute, they bounced back well and scored three consecutive goals to win the match in the end. Dunn kept his scoring shoes on and scored yet another classic goal to get his team level in the 8th minute. The rest was done by Di Santo in the 20th minute as scored his first goal for Blackburn. Chimbonda’s goal in the 42nd minute sealed the win for the Blackburn Rovers. Di Santo though got injured later on and had to go off field and there is no word on whether or not he will play this weekend.
