Bolton are currently struggling toward the bottom of the Premier League this season and currently sit in eighteenth position with just seventeen points to their name. Last time out they travelled to Turf Moor to face Burnley and despite taking the lead in the game could only manage a 1-1 draw at full time. Although a point away from home in the league is always better than a defeat, Bolton will feel disappointed they didn’t hang on for all three points.
With nine games played at the Reebok Stadium so far this season in the Premier League, Bolton have won just two of these, while drawing three and losing four of the others. Nevertheless, Lincoln should not pose too much of a problem for Wanderers on Saturday and indeed, Gary Megson may use this as an opportunity to rest some of his main players.
For their part, Lincoln City come into the game on the back of a 2-1 home win against Chesterfield in League Two. Despite this result though, they are still in 21st position out of 24 teams in the league table.
