The La Liga resumes this Saturday after the Christmas break and hapless Atletico Madrid face third placed Sevilla at the Estadio Vicente Calderon on Saturday evening. Both teams had some poor results in their last couple of games before the break, so see how the pair get on by tuning into oleolefootball.com and enjoying the live Spanish football streams at their very best.

Atletico Madrid enjoyed a mini revival by winning two games on the bounce at the end of November, but since then they have lost one and drawn one, with normal business resumed for their long suffering supporters. In their last game before the break Atletico travelled to the island of Tenerife to play the local side. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with Tenerife scoring as early as the third minute and Atletico equalising just nineteen minutes later with a goal from Jurado. Despite the best efforts of both sides thereafter, there were no further goals in the contest.

Atletico have now dropped back to fifteenth in the La Liga table and only have fourteen points to their name. Worryingly for the management though, they are only two points ahead of the relegation zone. They know that a victory on Saturday against Sevilla is imperative for the team and their supporters because the last thing they need is to become embroiled in a relegation battle in the second half of the season.

Sevilla surprisingly lost their last game before the Christmas break, going down 2-1 to Getafe at home. Despite this setback though they are still in third place in the league behind Barcelona and real Madrid, although they have dropped seven points behind second placed Real.
