David Moyes and his Everton team will enjoy welcome respite from their Premier League endeavours this coming Saturday afternoon when they take on League One side Carlisle at Goodison Park for an FA Cup third round fixture. See how they get on against the minnows from league One by tuning into oleolefootball.com and enjoying the live footy action from the cup in all its glory.

Currently Everton are only a couple of points ahead of the relegation zone in the English Premier League. Last time out the side travelled to Sunderland and managed to gain an important point. Sunderland took the lead in the game but Everton fought back well, putting the home side under sustained pressure for much of the second half. Their efforts finally paid off when Belgian international Fellaini popped up with the equaliser in the 85th minute of the contest.

The Toffees are currently fourteenth in the league table with nineteen points to their name, but this is only two points ahead of eighteenth placed Bolton Wanderers, so things are particularly tight in the bottom half of the table. As for their form at Goodison park so far this season in the Premier League, Everton have played nine times, winning just two of these games, drawing five and losing another two. Although they shouldn’t have any issues in seeing off the challenge of Carlisle, the team’s home form has been nothing to write home about.

For their part, Carlisle travel to Goodison in fifteenth position in League One with 27 points to their name. Their game at the weekend against Huddersfield at home was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
